Does iphone pandora internet radio work well while driving in a car?

My brother has pandora on his iPhone and uses it when he's traveling, he hasn't said anything about it being spotty or breaking up. I'm sure at times they're areas where service is shitty, if you stay away from high altitudes and densely wooded areas it should work perfectly
