I cheated, and I'm trying so hard to fix what I did, but he is abusing me?? Is he wrong, or do I deserve this?

NO this is not normal. No you do not deserve this. No this is not reasonable punishment for what you did. At the very least you should be dumped for cheating on someone but you shouldn't be punished and abused this way. No one should be abused for cheating. He is taking this way too far. Personally people who cheat disgust me and there is not excuse whatever to cheat. BUT there also no excuse whatever to abuse someone. I will cut you some slack because you've been through hell because of him. You don't deserve this and I can see that you take full responsibility for what you did. Now its time for him to take full responsible for what he has done to you. The punishment for abuse of any kind is much worse then the punishment for cheating. However the state law cannot punishment you for cheating on your spouse or significant other BUT the state can punish you dearly for any kind of physical abuse or threats. My advise to you is to leave him and report every single abuse that he has caused you including holding a knife to your throat and what not.
