How do i find a signal for my television?

I'm trying to play PlayStation2 on my TV and i have the input on the correct setting but for some reason my game doesn't come up all the TV says is "no signal" which has never happened before. I played my game just yesterday and it worked fin but now i don't know what went wrong. I tried turning off my TV, ps2, and cable box then turning it all back on but it didn't do anything. I also cleaned off the game disk and its not working. Any suggestions on how to fix the problem?
